Thanks to the strong partnership with CAPO Unified School District and Saddleback College, CREER has been able to expand this program to include: Math, Reading and Comprehension, Writing, Science, Pre-Algebra, Spanish, Music, Guitar, Drawing and Arts and Crafts.

CREER Homework Club K-12th Grades is a School Year-Round Program. Students are given a safe and supportive environment and space for homework, studying, and learning. Volunteers mentor and tutor students in a by-weekly basis in the nearby “Castle” room in the Adult Education Building. Homework Club is free of charge.

CREER Summer Program Pre-K-12th Grades. One Six-week Session Scheduled in 2018. This program offers students a safe and supportive environment to encourage learning and creative expression, while reducing the risk associated with lack of parental supervision. Due to the generosity of the CAPO Unified School District, we are able to offer these programs at Del Obispo Elementary. At the end of every Summer Session we hold a closing ceremony, where all children have the opportunity to share their achievements and art works. This event offers a very unique opportunity for family bonding and community togetherness, while giving children a strong sense of pride and empowerment.

Program Description:
CREER signature program serves between 50 - 75 children, youth and adults during the year. They practice in donated space at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Programs available for children, youth, and adults. Dancers perform throughout the year at different locations, including Disneyland. The Leadership Team, together with part time instructors, help to coordinate and develop this dance group. Most of the culturally authentic customs are made by the leadership team.

Class Description:
SIX WEEK PROGRAM: Come join us in this fun and artistic class. Pre-K – 2nd Grade Students will be introduce to basic music skills and will learn to play simple music pieces on the 8 note xylophone. 3rd – 6th Grade Students will be introduce to basic music skills and will learn to play simple music pieces on the Song Flute or Recorder. Everyone will learn to perform in a group setting while having lots of fun at the same time. Culminating with a one time performance at the end of the program.

SIX WEEKS PROGRAM. Almost everyone has wanted to learn to play the guitar. Don’t wait any longer. This class is designed for beginners! Students will learn the basics of music and guitar, and by the end of the class, students will be able to play simple melodies and basic chords. Bring your own guitar, and come get a head-start on your music career, either as a professional or just playing for friends and family! Culminating with a one time performance at the end of the program.

SIX WEEKS PROGRAM: Join us for a summer of theater and lots of fun where you can sing and dance to your heart’s content in a one of a kind musical review! “Theater Finds Summer” This show is full of high energy and fun that will appeal to children of all ages and levels of experience. You won’t want to miss being part of this year’s fun cast. This is a fun and intensive musical theatre program for the seasoned or beginning performer. Yoliztli Theater Company provides fun and unorthodox training in acting, singing and movement that culminates with a one time performance!!! No audition is required, just the love of performing and the willingness to learn from the professionals at Yoliztli. Culminating with a one time performance at the end of the program.

SIX WEEKS PROGRAM: Our Soccer Program is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Utilizing creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight positive character building each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
The 3-6th Grades Program focuses on individual skills, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.
